The control group in this experiment was fed a basic diet , while the Glyceryl Monolactate group was supplemented with 1 kg/t Glyceryl Monolactate in the basic diet.

Glyceryl Monolactate improves intestinal morphology and reduces diarrhoea in piglets

The results showed that after the addition of Glyceryl Monolactate , the ratio of villus height to crypt depth in the jejunum of weaned piglets was significantly increased , and the diarrhea rate was significantly reduced , indicating that the product can improve the intestinal morphology of weaned piglets and reduce the incidence of diarrhea .

Intestinal antioxidant indicators

The results showed that after the addition of Glyceryl Monolactate , the intestinal antioxidant index  SOD  content  of weaned  piglets was  significantly  increased  and  MDA  content was significantly decreased , which improved the antioxidant capacity of the organism , suggesting that the product can improve the antioxidant capacity of weaned piglets .

Glyceryl Monolactate improves the immunity of weaned piglets against viruses and repairs the intestinal barrier

The  results  indicate that  after the  addition  of  Glyceryl  Monolactate ,  the  expression  of  the immune-related gene TLR4 in weaned piglets significantly increased , and the expression of antiviral-related genes IFN- α , MX1 , and OASL also significantly increased. The expression of genes related to intestinal barrier repair , such as T FF3 and the protein Occlu din , significantly increased , suggesting that the product can enhance the immunity of weaned piglets , resist viruses , and repair the intestinal barrier .
