★Astringent&Anti-diarrheal:It  astringes  the   intestinal  mucosa  and  condenses  with   intestinal mucosal  proteins  to  form  tannic  acid  protein,which  forms  a  protective  film  on  intestinal  epithelial cells and  reduces water  secretion;prolongs the  residence  time  of chyme  in  the  small  intestine  and enhances  water  reabsorption,therebyeffectively  reducing  the   incidence  of  diarrhea.
