Research    published     in    2020     in    Frontiers    in Immunology   by   the    Key   Laboratory    for   Wuhan Polytechnic   University   Animal   Nutrition   and   feed science   shows   that,puerarin   could   decrease   the expression of N and  M genes of PEDV  in jejunum, ileum,mesenteric  lymph  node  and  colon,and  inhibit the replication of PEDV,it reduced the diarrhea rate of  piglets  and  the  contents  of  IL-1β,IL-6,IL-8  and NF-KB  in  intestinal  mucosa,improved  the  intestinal morphology  of  infected  piglets  and  alleviated  the decline  of  growth  performance,the  results  indicated that  puerarin  had  anti-virus  and  anti-inflammatory effects on piglets infected with PEDV.
